Claude Prompt:

You are running a daily business-opportunity scouting task for {{metro_region}}.
Your job is to find real, currently-signaling businesses that likely need one of
three services: (1) AI automation / workflow automation, (2) digital marketing,
or (3) advertising services. This runs every morning, so today's batch must be
NEW — check the tracking sheet (linked below) first and never repeat a business
already listed there from the last 30 days.

There is a preference for {{Preferred_Niche_Businesses}} if this value is populated, if not, there is no preference.

TRACKING SHEET
Optional. Help the user set these if there are questions.
Tracking sheet web address: {{tracking_sheet_url}}
Tracking folder name: {{tracking_sheet_folder_name}}

If these tracking sheet values are not presented, and if Google drive is not connected, offer to give the user a table or spreadsheet to download.

STEP 1 — CHECK MEMORY
Open the tracking sheet or any tracking sheets found in the folder. Read the "Business Name" column so you know what's
already been surfaced. Do not re-list any of these.

STEP 2 — SEARCH FOR SIGNALS
Search local news, business directories, job boards, and social platforms for
{{metro_region}} businesses showing one or more of these signals in the last
{{lookback_days}} days:

For AI AUTOMATION prospects, look for:
- Businesses posting job listings for repetitive ops/admin/customer-service roles
(a sign they could automate instead of hire)
- Local companies mentioned in news for rapid growth, new locations, or funding
- Businesses with visibly manual processes (e.g. phone-only booking, no chatbot,
no online scheduling) in service industries (medical, legal, home services, salons)

For DIGITAL MARKETING prospects, look for:
- New business openings/registrations in the metro in the last 30 days (new = no
  established online presence yet)
- Existing businesses with no active social media in 60+ days, or a website with
no blog/content updates in 6+ months
- Businesses running outdated or broken Google Business Profiles (no recent photos,
  unanswered reviews, missing hours)

For ADVERTISING SERVICES prospects, look for:
- Businesses that just launched a new product/location/menu/service (they need to
  announce it)
- Seasonal businesses approaching their peak season with no visible ad presence
- Businesses that recently lost visibility (e.g. reviews mention "hard to find them
online now," or a competitor visibly outranks them)

STEP 3 — QUALIFY
For each candidate business, only include it if you can point to a SPECIFIC,
verifiable signal (not a guess). Discard anything you can't back with a source.
Cap the list at {{max_leads}} businesses total across all three verticals —
quality over volume. If fewer qualify today, list fewer; do not pad with weak signals.

STEP 4 — OUTPUT FORMAT
Produce a table with these exact columns:
| Business Name | Vertical | Signal (why they need this) | Contact Info | Suggested Pitch Angle | Confidence (High/Med/Low) | Source Link |

For "Suggested Pitch Angle," write one specific sentence a consultant could open
an email or call with — reference the actual signal, not a generic pitch.

If you cannot find a tracking sheet, create a new one for this search.

STEP 5 — LOG AND DELIVER
Append today's new rows to the tracking sheet (Date Found = today, Status = "New").
Then output the same table directly in this session as your response, plus a
2-3 sentence summary of the day's batch (e.g. "4 automation leads, 3 marketing,
2 advertising — strongest signal is [X]").

SCHEDULE
Set this automation's schedule to run daily at 7:00am local time by default. Ask the user for confirmation or if they want to modify the scheduling.

Do not fabricate contact information. If you cannot find a direct contact, note
"Contact via website form" or similar rather than inventing an email or phone number.

ChatGPT Setup:

Step 1: Click your ChatGPT profile. Go to “settings” and then “plugins”

Step 2: Click “Browse Plugins” and select “Google Drive” and click “Install Plugin”

Step 3: On Google Drive, create a new folder called “AI Generated Leads”

Step 4: Use the Customizer below, copy the prompt, pasting it into ChatGPT to setup the automation

Customize The ChatGPT Prompt

Fill in the fields below to customize the prompt for ChatGPT.

Click “Copy” in the upper right corner of the window below to copy the ChatGPT prompt.

ChatGPT Prompt:

Run the following business-opportunity scouting workflow for {{metro_region}}.

This is a recurring ChatGPT Task. Treat every run as a new daily search. Use current web research and the connected Google Drive plugin to check and update the lead-tracking spreadsheet.

There is a preference for {{Preferred_Niche_Businesses}} if this value is populated, if not, there is no preference.

GOOGLE DRIVE TRACKING DETAILS
Optional. Help the user set these if there are questions or you can't find a smart place to enter them.
Tracking sheet Web Address: {{tracking_sheet_url}}
Tracking folder name: {{tracking_sheet_folder_name}}

If these tracking sheet values are not presented, and if Google drive is not connected, offer to give the user a table or spreadsheet to download.

Your goal is to identify real businesses currently showing a verifiable need for one of these services:

1. AI automation or workflow automation
2. Digital marketing
3. Advertising services

Today’s businesses must be new. Never include a business that appears in the tracking sheet with a “Date Found” from the previous 30 days.

STEP 1: OPEN THE TRACKING SHEET

Use the connected Google Drive plugin to open {{tracking_sheet_url}}.

If the URL is blank, inaccessible, or no longer valid:

1. Search Google Drive for a spreadsheet in the folder named {{tracking_sheet_folder_name}}.
2. Prefer the most recently updated spreadsheet that clearly functions as a business-opportunity or lead-tracking sheet.
3. If multiple possible tracking sheets exist and you cannot reliably determine the correct one, do not choose arbitrarily. Report the ambiguity and provide the file names and links.
4. If no tracking sheet exists, create a Google Sheet named “{{metro_region}} Business Opportunity Tracker” in {{tracking_sheet_folder_name}}.

A newly created tracking sheet must contain these columns:

Date Found | Business Name | Vertical | Signal | Contact Info | Suggested Pitch Angle | Confidence | Source Link | Status

Before researching new leads, read the existing “Business Name” and “Date Found” columns. Build an exclusion list containing every business added during the previous 30 days.

Treat minor spelling differences, abbreviations, locations, and alternate business names as possible duplicates. Do not add another location of the same company unless the location itself has a separate, verifiable opportunity signal.

STEP 2: SEARCH FOR CURRENT SIGNALS

Search the web, local news, business publications, business directories, job boards, company websites, public social profiles, and other credible public sources.

Focus on signals published or observed within the last {{lookback_days}} days. When a page does not show a publication date, use it only if another source verifies that the signal is current.

AI AUTOMATION OR WORKFLOW AUTOMATION SIGNALS

Look for businesses that:

- Are hiring for repetitive administrative, operational, scheduling, intake, data-entry, or customer-service work that could potentially be streamlined
- Recently announced rapid growth, funding, expansion, increased demand, or a new location
- Appear to rely on manual processes such as phone-only booking, manual intake, email-based scheduling, or repeated administrative handoffs
- Have operational bottlenecks directly supported by job postings, customer comments, company statements, or other credible evidence

Do not claim that a job can be eliminated. Frame automation opportunities around reducing repetitive work, improving response time, or helping existing staff handle greater volume.

DIGITAL MARKETING SIGNALS

Look for businesses that:

- Recently opened, registered, relocated, rebranded, or announced an upcoming opening
- Have gone at least 60 days without meaningful activity on their primary public social account
- Have a website with stale content, broken pages, outdated information, or no meaningful updates for at least six months
- Have a neglected Google Business Profile, including missing hours, outdated information, unanswered reviews, or few recent photos
- Have weak or inconsistent visibility across their website, Google Business Profile, and active social accounts

ADVERTISING SERVICES SIGNALS

Look for businesses that:

- Recently launched or announced a product, location, menu, event, promotion, or service
- Are approaching an identifiable peak season without visible current advertising
- Recently expanded into a new market or service area
- Have a time-sensitive offer or announcement that would benefit from paid promotion
- Appear to be losing search or local-market visibility to a specific competitor, supported by observable evidence

STEP 3: VERIFY AND QUALIFY

Only include a business when you can cite a specific, verifiable opportunity signal.

For every candidate:

1. Confirm that the business operates in or directly serves {{metro_region}}.
2. Confirm that the signal is current enough to meet the {{lookback_days}}-day requirement.
3. Check the Google Drive tracking sheet for duplicates from the previous 30 days.
4. Include a direct source URL supporting the signal.
5. Find publicly listed contact information from the business’s official website, Google Business Profile, or another credible public source.
6. Never infer or fabricate an email address, telephone number, employee name, or job title.

If no direct contact information is available, write “Contact via website form” and provide the official contact-page URL when possible.

Cap the final list at {{max_leads}} businesses across all three service categories. Favor strong, timely signals over filling the quota. If only a few businesses qualify, return only those businesses.

Do not include:

- Businesses supported only by assumptions
- Signals without a working source
- Businesses outside the defined metro area
- Leads already logged within the previous 30 days
- Generic directory listings with no current opportunity signal
- Businesses whose only evidence is an undated or obviously stale page

STEP 4: ASSIGN THE VERTICAL AND CONFIDENCE

Assign each business one primary vertical:

- AI Automation
- Digital Marketing
- Advertising

Use these confidence standards:

- High: The signal is recent, specific, supported by a strong primary or authoritative source, and clearly connects to the recommended service.
- Medium: The signal is verifiable and relevant, but the need or timing requires some interpretation.
- Low: The evidence is credible but incomplete. Use this rating sparingly and exclude the business if the opportunity depends mainly on speculation.

STEP 5: WRITE A SPECIFIC PITCH ANGLE

For “Suggested Pitch Angle,” write one sentence a consultant could use to begin an email or phone call.

Reference the actual signal and connect it to a practical result. Do not write generic openings such as “I noticed your business could use help with marketing.”

Example structure:

“I saw that you’re opening a second location in Concord and wanted to share a simple campaign for building local awareness before opening week.”

Do not claim that you personally experienced something or visited a location unless the source supports that statement.

STEP 6: UPDATE GOOGLE DRIVE

Append each qualified business to the tracking sheet using:

- Date Found: today’s date
- Business Name: verified public business name
- Vertical: AI Automation, Digital Marketing, or Advertising
- Signal: concise description of the verified opportunity signal
- Contact Info: verified public contact details or “Contact via website form”
- Suggested Pitch Angle: the customized opening sentence
- Confidence: High, Medium, or Low
- Source Link: direct URL supporting the signal
- Status: New

Before writing each row, perform one final duplicate check.

Do not overwrite, delete, reorder, or modify existing rows. Append only the new qualified rows.

If Google Drive access or write permission fails, still complete the research and display the results, but clearly state that the tracking sheet was not updated. Do not claim that a file was opened, created, or updated unless the Google Drive operation succeeded.

STEP 7: DELIVER TODAY’S RESULTS

Return a Markdown table with exactly these columns:

| Business Name | Vertical | Signal (why they need this) | Contact Info | Suggested Pitch Angle | Confidence (High/Med/Low) | Source Link |

After the table, provide:

1. A two-to-three-sentence summary stating how many leads were found for each vertical and identifying the strongest opportunity signal.
2. The name and Google Drive link of the tracking sheet that was checked and updated.
3. A clear note describing any access problem, failed spreadsheet update, ambiguous tracking file, or research limitation.

If no businesses qualify, say “No sufficiently verified new leads found today.” Briefly summarize where you searched and confirm whether the tracking sheet was successfully checked. Do not add weak leads merely to produce a nonempty report.

SCHEDULE
Set this automation's schedule to run daily at 7:00am local time by default. Ask the user for confirmation or if they want to modify the scheduling.

Now AI will do a daily search and add leads to the spreadsheet on Google Sheets. You can also just ask the AI to give you a spreadsheet if you don’t want to work with Google Sheets.
